Brandon from Brandon's Drawings

Hi, I’m Brandon!

I’m a digital artist from northern California. I have always loved drawing and discovered digital art as a passion in 2016.

A few years later, I took a few weeks off for the birth of my daughter. In those weeks, I became obsessed with learning how to animate.

Knowing nothing about animation, I tried a few programs. Then I found Blender 3D and I haven’t turned back.

After obsessing with Blender for years and making a lot of mistakes, I am still learning.

I originally created this website as an art portfolio. While there are definitely some good Blender tutorials out there, I found some topics weren’t covered that well. I also became frustrated that many tutorials assumed I knew more than I did.

So I tried my hand at making a tutorial on YouTube (it sucked). Then I made a few more and they got a little better. Pretty soon, my site was more about teaching others to learn Blender than sharing my own art.

I’ve also started a few other websites which I’m trying to grow. Most notably, All Solano is a local news and community site for the county I live in (California). If you happen to be from California, I’d love to see your support at All Solano.

I still make art and I still share it on this site. But I’ve been building this site as a resource for Blender users. I enjoy teaching and reviewing products related to digital art. Now, I’m supposed to cover a few legal things.

Affiliate Income Disclaimer

As a way to support my page, I have a few small income streams. I make YouTube videos about digital art and Blender 3D which pay me for views.

I also use affiliate ads and links from a variety of companies including Amazon and Envato Elements. As an Amazon Associate I earn commissions from qualified purchases. These affiliate links do not cost you anything. If you click on them and choose to make a purchase, I receive a small commission for the referral.

Trust me, it’s not much but goes toward paying for things like web hosting. I will disclose whenever I use a link to an affiliate product on a page. Oh, and here are my favorite Blender add-ons!

Advertisements

A more recent development is I’ve added advertisements to my site. I’ve tried not to go crazy but these help pay for fixed costs such as web hosting. The advertisements are all run through Google Adsense which does personalize ads to improve your experience. You can view and change your personal ad settings with Google here.
